GENERAL REPORT
On the way back from the target at Razerbrouck the Squadron was suddenly attacked from behind and above by 4 Me.'s. I dived immediately and when I flattened out at 3,000 ft. I saw one Me. in front of me and slightly below. I opened fire immediately at 50 yds. with two short bursts (m/g and cannon) and saw pieces flying off of the E/A which crashed near the French coast west of Gravelines.
