V-1s frequently overlying the airfield created a safety problems.
Popular among ground personnel sleeping at the airfield were these concrete
irrigation rings, which made a poor bed but gave a bit of shelter.

The Wing was camping out since it moved from Heston. The real quarters were found only in RAF Peterhead, thus for seven full months, all accommodations and facilities were under canvas.

Each two airmen shared a tent. Those who had cars could park them right "at the door".

Warming up in the sun are Gorzula, Stefankiewicz, Horbaczewski, Kliman (probably) and Bedkowski..

Group of NCOs at cards.

Bedkowski.
